Capturing the simplistic beauty of our everyday landscapes.

Growing up in North Vancouver, Leanne was surrounded by the natural beauty of the Coastal Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Leanne's educational background is in Interior Design from which her ideas of colour, contrast, space, and lines were developed and then integrated into her artwork. A self taught artist, she always loved to paint but it wasn’t until a move to Northern Alberta in 2003 where the sudden change of her surroundings inspired her to create a signature style of bold and simplistic landscapes.

Leanne and her husband have lived in Kelowna since 2006 and in October of 2009 their daughter Joni was born. In September 2010 Leanne participated in ArtWalk, which initiated her professional career as an artist with great enthusiasm. Since then, she has shown her work in galleries, wineries, local businesses and her piece ''Kelowna North' was selected to be hung in the new Pediatrics wing of Kelowna General Hospital. Always seeking opportunities to travel BC to sketch, photograph and paint Leanne was selected with five other artists from BC to participate in ‘Art in the Park’ in July 2011, where she was toured through the back country of Glacier National Park, creating art to celebrate 100 years of Parks Canada. 2012 showcased Leanne's first solo exhibition at the Gibsons Public Art Gallery April 19-May 14.

Inspired by the rolling hills of the Okanagan, the peaks of the Kootenays, the Rocky Mountains and the rising Coast Mountains from the Pacific, today Leanne paints as much as she can while raising her daughter Joni with her husband Carl. They moved out to beautiful Okanagan Centre in Lake Country BC in September 2012 and once again she is inspired by her new landscapes. In March 2013 their son Jack was born and they spend as much time outside and by the lake as possible.
